What is virtual organising?

Virtual organising is similar to a traditional hands-on organising session. The only difference being that you will do the work on your own, with your staff or family members, where in the past I would be there doing the sorting and organising with you. NOW we meet and work together via mobile device or webcam.
This model offers a much greater opportunity for transferring skills from the organiser to the client. Zoom or a video call will be used for the virtual sessions. You’ll have more time making decisions between sessions and getting things done in your own time.

How will it work?

We have a short meet and greet telephonically or video call to see if this service will work for you. You’ll share photos or videos of your challenges that you would like to address via email or Whatsapp. No ideas or suggestions will be shared during the first chat.

Once we have decided that virtual organising will work for you, we schedule time for the virtual sessions in which we address each of your challenges. I will work with you to create a basic action plan, give you organizing tips and expert advice on how to organize your home or office. You’ll be sent an invoice and on proof of payment, the link for the virtual sessions will be emailed to you. The virtual organising session is a 4hr prepaid service which can be split up in 2 x 2 hour sessions. From there, additional hours may be
purchased in 2-hour increments. A list of storage product suggestions for the area(s) worked on during the session can be provided. (Sessions expire 2 months after date of purchase, to keep the project on track)

The number of sessions required depends on the size and scope of the project and the amount of organizing you do yourself in between sessions. Sessions can be scheduled as often as required
depending on your goals.

What is better done with me at hand?

If you wish to have physical support in decluttering and organising or prefer someone taking your donations away, then hands-on support may be the best choice for you. Virtual organising is not recommended for areas with lots of clutter as they can be overwhelming to a client.

In the event that you wish to change the layout of an area, I will need photos, a floor plan with measurements and the footprint of your furniture that you want to keep. You can deliberate with me telephonically or by video call what you really would like to see in an area. If you need me to source furniture, ornaments and soft furnishings I charge an hourly rate. I will charge the ‘virtual hourly rate’  to present the design to you. Alternatively I can provide a bill of material from different suppliers and you can then shop for the furniture yourself. A floor plan with guidelines on how to implement the design can be provided. Should you need me to come for a physical visit to put things into place, the hourly rate, plus AA travel rate will apply.
